About the Author
Ann Green grew up in historic Natchez, Mississippi, an only child in a prominent Southern family with very specific ideas about the life she was meant to lead. She was expected to wear a hoop skirt, marry at Stanton Hall, and join the garden club. Green, however, had ideas of her own.
After graduating from Louisiana State University, she built a career as a journalist, with work appearing in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Los Angeles Times, Atlanta Magazine, The Durham Herald-Sun, Carolina Country, Coastwatch, and other publications. Her writing has also been recognized by the North Carolina Press Association, where she received first place for sports feature writing.
